    Not as expected…

The all inclusive aspect of Dreams was not what we expected. They use an off par liquor for their drinks and the food was below par. We had to seek options off the property for a decent meal. The staff seemed overwhelmed at times and was never in a hurry. Overall i will not book another trip to a Dreams resort due to this experience

    Good times!

Very nice resort, feels small, in a good way. The restaurants were very good. I especially enjoyed the Oceana. Great service as well as great food. There were two of the bartenders that were above and beyond. Vianty and Ray. They were great! We really enjoyed Jernaline in the Preferred club/ lounge area. She was always so nice. Our hostess/concierge (everything!) was Aura She was always there willing to help with anything. Geegee was our hostess/concierge 6 Mo's ago at the Sunscape and it is always great seeing her! She is the best!

We had a wonderful time- don't let the bad reviews scare you!

I was pretty nervous about vacationing here after reading all the reviews online but my son and I had a really lovely time. Yes, there are problems, but no one is perfect! Overall, I think they need to hire more staff in certain areas and could be better organized, but we were really happy with our experience. The good things: Our room was nice and very clean. The beach was incredibly beautiful. We were very pleased with the view from our balcony. Staff was great- my son loved playing volleyball every afternoon with the entertainment staff. The concierge helped us several times and was very helpful and hospitable. All the food at the dinner restaurants was delicious, and the staff was very polite and friendly. We dined between 6-7p and rarely had to wait for a table. Breakfast was busy but the staff there were warm and welcoming and efficient. We didn't take part in any of the night time entertainment, but watched from a far and it seemed to be great. The entertainment staff was wonderful! We loved having coffee and ice cream in the gift shop- I don't think many people knew it was there and we loved walking down after dinner for a sweet treat and cappuccino. The not-so-good things: Yes, the bathroom in our room could use an update. It was not gross by any means, but just old and beginning to be run down. Room service was often very late. We had a scheduled champagne breakfast one morning and they were over an hour late... after calling up to the room 15 minutes late saying the food was on its way, I had to call down to check on it 45 minutes later. But it arrived shortly after that. We did have one day where there was a scarcity of towels but I'm not sure that's entirely the resort's fault. Many patrons take 4-5 towels for one person, even though the policy is to take one per person. Also, people leave the towels on the chairs when they're done, instead of bringing them back to the drop off to get washed and reused. If I ran the hotel, knowing this, I would buy more towels but there was only one day that this was an issue. The food at the lunch buffet was only ok... my son loved the chicken nuggets but the rest of the food was not stellar. It was left out all day in warmers and didn't have a lot of flavor. We only tried the lunch spot near the pool, however, so perhaps the other buffet was better. Overall, we had a great time and would go back!

The entertainment team made this a great stay!

I will start with the positive feedback. The location is beautiful as far as the beach and the views. The staff is what made our trip memorable. Specifically the entertainment staff. Jessica and Victor at the pool were so fun and provide so much entertainment through out the day. The night time entertainers, Jeidy, Norgel and his brother, Raidel, Jessica, and Mary were the highlight of our trip. We danced so much and they were so kind and sweet. We looked forward to their shows every night. We made great memories with them. The staff is what truly makes this "resort". The hotel bathrooms need major updating. The first room we were given was not suitable for us to stay, thankfully Kerly and Maria at the front desk understood and worked diligently to provide a new room for us. The "resort" is small but again in a great location and the staff does their best with what they have. I liked that the food at the buffet had variety of local cuisine as well as traditional breakfast items. All in all we had a great trip, I highly recommend the Klein Curaco trip, and a half day tour of Willemstead to get to know the island. Thank you Dreams Entertainment team! From Melany, Jessica, and Madelaine
