    Any liriano de leon made our stay more organized and fun amazing concierge

    We had a very nice stay at Melia Caribe Resort. Friendly staff, exellent breakfast, lunch, dinner, nice atmosphere, a clean room and plenty of hot water. Can be recommended. We were very grateful for the kindness and consideration shown by our concierge Any Liriano De Leon she is amazing she made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay more comfortable and fun . She was always available to answer our questions also made sure we didn’t miss out on any fun activities that they had on the hotel .

    Not a very good experience, but our concierge was amazing

    Our concierge was Karla Rochelle. She is amazing and satisfied all of our requests. She is the best! Some of the food was ok, but the drinks were terrible!

    I will never stay here again and I advise you not to either

    DR is beautiful, and the outside property overall is beautiful but the rooms are not as updated and modern as the pictures show. The room furniture was old, the trundle scraped the floor as we pulled it out and was loud enough to wake up the whole country and my toddler started screaming crying because it was so loud. The floors were slippery, my son slipped in the shower and hit his head on the floor so we had to put a towel in it just so we wouldn't fall (in the room and at the pool). A cleaning staff member put some clothes we had on the bathroom floor in the bidet (disgusting). The couch was GROSS and had stains all over it. The light switches were really weird and needs to be fixed asap because they are confusing. They need more trollys on the property up and running because the waiting time for one is ridiculous. The door to the room kept getting stuck because the floor is uneven and it needs some oil because it is also loud and had a crack in so mosquitoes kept getting in. The fridge was old and dirty. The table was falling apart. & two different at the casino bar on June 7th night put his hand up in my friends face telling her to wait all because she wanted a bottle of water and then another bartender in the lobby bar put her hand up in my husbands face telling him to wait after he asked her for something because she started serving someone else who just sat don while he had been already sitting there waiting. Also we know majority of the alchol bottles were water and not actual alcohol. Overall just a horrible experience and we will never be returning and I will be telling everyone else about this experience as well to make sure they never go either.

    Punta Cana Melia Caribe

    The facilities were clean at all times. The staff were absolutely fabulous. From the drivers, to the servers and the house keeping everyone was fantastic. The room was cleaned daily and it smelled fabulous walking in from our daily activities. Tons of things to do with kids and for adults only. I cannot say enough about how genuinely polite the staff was in every interaction I had with them every single day for the 7 days we spent here. My kids and wife had a blast would definitely come back and would definitely recommend.

    Warning to others do not stay if you value your hard earn dollar

    My family and I visited Punta Cana from Saturday, June 1, 2024, to Friday June 7, 2024, and chose Melia Caribe for our accommodations. We were looking forward to a week in paradise soaking up sunshine, getting some vitamin "sea" and celebrating our son's high school graduation. What we thought was an informed, detailed decision in hotel accommodations quickly proved to be one of the poorest decisions we have made. Upon arrival we were assigned new rooms because in our party of six, there was only one couple, myself and my wife. We were expecting king accommodations only to find no room available for us. Due to this mix up, we were upgraded and relocated to a different area on the property. We were informed one of the rooms weren't available yet but in about the next 15 minutes, the room would in fact be available. Sensing no need to second guess what we were being told by the front desk agent, we proceeded with completing our check in and then on to the available rooms. Acting on the instructions of the agent, the displaced party waited in our room for what we all anticipated would be just a short time. What we were told would be a fifteen-minute wait for the room to be cleaned turned into well over 3 hours of waiting, several phone calls to the front desk and finally a walk back up to the front desk before having any knowledge of the rooms being ready. What's more, when we inquired about whether the rooms were ready, the front desk agent explained the room was ready and had been ready for quite sometime. We were floored but at that point was too exhausted to give energy to the situation. As long as the two members of our party could finally get into their room and decompress from a four-hour flight, we were ok. The following will be a list of one disappointment after another during our stay at Melia Caribe: No towels (every day we had to call for towels, was only delivered towels without asking one day) The bedding in all 3 rooms was not changed daily Refreshments were not restocked daily (most importantly water) Reservations to restaurants were almost or impossible to get Half cleaned rooms Although the above list is short, those things were monumentally important in the enjoyment of the daily experience at your property. I was blessed to be able to bring my 71-year-old mother and my aunt along on this trip and to have to call the front desk daily for basic requests such as towels, having the room cleaned and water was disheartening to say the least. It was not until the third night staying with the property that we found out getting snacks such as M&M's and potato chips was a thing. Unfortunately, we only got the experience of having snacks in the room one day and for only one of the rooms on my reservations. The questionable part regarding refreshments is that we would see the cart with them and see the workers taking them to rooms in our area. Inconsistency seemed to be the ongoing theme of this property. It is my hope that these grievances will be taken seriously, and changes made for people who choose to spend thousands upon thousands of their hard-earned dollars with your property. Thank you.
