Dec 01, 2023Quite enjoyable stay!
My family visited Bahia Principe Fantasia Punta Cana in November. The resort is great for children and families: This place is definently a 5 star resort! - Lots of shows for the kids - The pool is large with a water park for the kids - The food is great - Lots of buffet selection and a la cartes. Some are better than the others. Please book them ahead of time on the day of your arrival. The Tepanyaki restaurant had a fantastic performance by the cook. The beach is approx. 6 min walk or a 3 min buggy ride (if you're lucky to catch one in time). The beach is amazing: white sand, very little seaweed, warm waters. The vendors on the beach are polite and non-intrusive. It feels quite safe to leave your belongins on the lounger while you go for a swim at the beach. Theres a nice Beach Restaurant with buffet snacks: you can enjoy an entire day at the beach from the sunrise to the sunset. Getting into our room we found the refridgerator not cooling. The issue was fixed promptly after our call. The room was very spacious, cleaned spotless. The king bed was very comfortable with 10 pillows. Bathroom had a tub with jets, separate shower and separate toilet. Service was great, maids were really kind and helpful. I have enjoyed the gym so much that I was compelled to use it every day. It actually looked like a fitness club. It has new equipment and it is very spacious. It has 3 separate exercise rooms: cycling/threadmill room, weight training room, and a yoga/aerobics room. It has toilets and showers, a cold water dispenser sweetened with pieces of lime. My family has enjoyed spending a week at this resort.

This was the worst all inclusive experience we have ever had. We had to change rooms 3 times due to first no A/C and broken mini fridge, then we had the roof start pouring water on us as we were trying to sleep. Our third room had no issues but a terrible location. Our first room change also happened at 1 AM. We did not get so much as an apology from resort staff after having all these issues. Another huge issue was that they made us leave the resort 3 hours earlier than others on the same flight as us and would not listen to us or give us a reason we had to leave so early. The food at the buffet was not great and the same most days, you could only get drinks at the disco and sportsbar after 11 pm. We could hardly enjoy the beach due to people pressuring you to buy things. The entertainment at the pool was not as good as other resorts we have been to and the pool side snack bar was just burgers and hot dogs every day. We will never be back to this resort. save your money

Fantastic family holiday at an amazing resort!
We were a group of 9 travelling for 7 days. 4 kids (9 and 11-year-olds). We were fortunate to travel when the resort wasn’t quite so busy. The resort is wonderful! From check in to check out we were well taken care of. Wilson at the front desk welcomed us and made sure to arrange our 3 rooms so they were located close to each other. He also took the time to arrange transportation to the other hotels for the a la carte dinners. His smile and prompt attention to our needs made us feel welcome and valued. Our rooms were clean, well taken care of and we had no air conditioner issues. The Internet was spotty in the hotel room, however worked well in the lobby and by the pool/water park. It did improve later in the week. The pool and water park were enjoyed by all in our party. We appreciated that one part of the pool has activities, and the other part was a little quieter for those days we just wanted to chill. The beach was beautiful and clean, with lots of chairs. The younger kids enjoyed the water park, however both ages did use the water park with no issue. The entertainment in the theatre, lobby and pool were all well done. We especially enjoyed the Lion King and the magician. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. While there could sometimes be a language barrier, both us and the team members tried their best to figure things out. A please and thank you (often in Spanish) or even a smile goes a long way. Fausto, the Air Canada rep, was super helpful in ensuring that we had all the information we needed for departure and was willing to assist with any issues that may arise at the hotel. He took great care in recommending and arranging tours for our families to enjoy. His help meant a lot to us tired parents who were looking forward to a relaxing holiday. We travelled with a few picky eaters and can honestly say no one went hungry. The a la carte restaurants were fabulous (Italian, Indian, gourmet, Greek, Japanese). We did find the buffet very repetitive, however we were always able to find plenty to eat. One issue however is that the buffet foods are not being held at a high enough temperature, and the food was often cold by the time we reached our table to eat it. My one complaint would be that the entertainment in the theatre and lobby was way too loud. My children had ear plugs at Lion king and still complained it was too loud. I can’t imagine how it would be for the small babies we saw there. We did mention it to one of the managers in the lobby and it sounds like the volume may have been turned down in the theatre after that. We would consider returning to this resort in the future as it checked off all our boxes and everyone had an amazing, restful vacation.

Nov 17, 2023Great for kids- but got HFMD
Just came back from Bahia Principe Fantasia Punta Cana. The resort is great for children and families. Lots of shows for the kids. The pool is large with a water park for the kids. The food is great. Lots of buffet selection and a la cartes are on point. Some better than the others. Proximity to the beach is a 4 min walk or a 2 min buggy ride. The beach is AMAZING. White sand, very little seaweed, warm waters. No complaints. Theres a nice Beach Restaurant with buffet snacks which is perfect while at the beach. My experience was fantastic. The only issue was- my 1 year old contracted Hand foot and mouth disease on the last day we were there (Nov 14, 2023). We were in the pool with a whole bunch of other kids. He had a high fever there and on the plane ride back... now going through the course of the disease. After googling it, I found out that HFMD is present on some resorts probably the family ones. Other then this, our experience here was great.

Amazing. Can't wait to go back.
We just got back from an amazing vacation. This resort is definently a 5 star resort. From ck in Andreas was quick and fast and made sure our requests were meet. Getting into our room we found there was no crib as requested so I went back to the front desk. When I got back to the room 10 mins later it was there.. quick service. The room was very spacious, cleaned spotless with an adjoining room for my daughter and her family. The king bed was very comfortable with 10 pillows.. bathroom had Jacuzzi tub, separate shower and separate toilet. On to the pool and pool bar. Juan is a number 1 bartender. He could mix anything. Our entertainment staff Asvaldo, Carlos, Luis and Joel kept us entertained for the week. They are so attentive to the kids. Picking them up playing with them and making them have fun. Buffet Luis Miguel should be serving in s high class restaurant he was amazing. The grounds are immaculate and the beach kept very clean. The Bahia Manager should be very proud of his property. I would rate this Bahia a ,6 star..
