Marketing Company will lie to you
The marketing company promised me a certain hotel room and view and when I booked the room, that was not the case. Somehow I was booked into florida, then Maui and ultimately after spending 5 hours on the phone in between Hilton and HGVC, I was booked into the right property. However, I still did not get the room and view that was promised to me and I was forced to pay extra to get the room that was initially promised. Total NS and lip service from both Hilton and HGVC even after showing them proof of what was promised.

Rainbow Tower
We stayed in the Rainbow Tower and had a great view! But on this trip we realized that this building is in need of some serious maintenance and refurbishing. The power went out in our room and maintenance could not get it back on and we had to move. The elevator would make strange noises going up and down. Don't get me wrong, I love this property beause of its location and all of its offerings......just saying that its time to refurbish and refresh the place up a little.

Location is perfect!
The Hilton Village is perfectly located on Waikiki beach. It is fully self-sustained with beaches, pools, restaurants and shops. You don’t need to go anywhere for anything. BUT, if you need to, there is Ride Share, Bike Share and Bus stops just next to the village. Some hotels are a bit run down.

Desperately need to update the matresses and service the aircon!
Loved this resort as soon as we arrived. It's proximity to the beach and the beautiful pools and other facilities is fantastic. You are not left wanting, except...... We are staying in the stunning rainbow tower with a beautiful pool/beach view room, but unfotunatly that's were my positives stops. The beds are just god awful. I've slept in 2 star motels where the mattress doesn't sag and squeak which they have tried to hide with an average mattress topper. The sheets are too small for the beds and they creep up through the night. Then there is the airconditioning. To have it on during the night sounds like something is about to take off in our room. It's in obvious need of servicing/refurbishment/replacement. This was supposed to be our dream holiday but when you can't get a decent sleep it's really hard to stay positive. We booked Hilton as we believed they had a high quality stay for the price point, but if it's a good night sleep your looking for avoid Hilton Hawian Village if you can. It's value for money just doesn't add up, especially when we are all struggling. We have 4 more nights to go, sadly id rather be at home

Worst 4 star resort hotel
Front CheckIn: Both receptionist and guy who takes care of the car are pretty lifeless with no greeting, no style and no caring. The manager leading front desk should be fired for such a miserable operation. They are slow, look over worked, no eye contact, no smile and hold off hundred waiting in the line. It's absolutely my worst resort experience. And they place many guests in their boring time share vacation building. Starlight Luau is $170 per person. I remember years ago, the one I attended was on the beach, and so enjoyable. Now they hold it on the conference building roof top - they call it a Garden, but it’s very bland space with some wall painting. This is incredible degrading a good program. When hundreds of people waited in line, got seated and got their food, it was probably already 6:30pm, then at about 7pm, the servers rushed to remove the much left food, and took everything down, with only one small station left for the whole event. Guests went to server asked for refill, the server who were taking down the station just acted dumb, and didn’t even provide the serving spoon. Whoever is in charge of this Starlight Luau ought to be FIRED. What a disgrace to Hilton brand name! What a disappointing experience for so many families! This is the worst experience I have ever had in any resort that I stayed, Europe, Asia and America.
