    From ashes to phenomenal

    Our room had a plumbing leak, the staff tried to fix it twice. We missed the evening shows due to the leaks and slow dining service. Freddy, mgr stepped up BIG Time, he moved us to another room, made sure we were seated and served on time so we could see the shows which were very good. Freddy checked on us and our family, 18, he made everything great. We will follow Freddy wherever his career takes him. Sergio, our pool waiter, took excellent care of my entire family, from cabanas beach and pool, lounges beach and pool, drinks, and he even helped me push my wife’s wheelchair around the pool and sometimes in the lobby when he saw us. Sergio went above and beyond, my wife needed distilled water for her sleep apnea machine, not available in the hotel shop, he bought and brought two bottles for her. Saved us. Both Freddy and Sergio turned what could have been a disaster for me to a very enjoyable 10 days with my kids and grandkids.

    Amazing service! Great pools! Good views!

    Me and my wife stayed 12-28 to 1-05. The road in was a bit rough just a heads up. We were welcomed by Mike our bellman. After check in Mike escorted us to our room and pointed out specific locations to us. Our room was great we had pool access room. Guadalupe took great care of our room! The beach area isn’t very inviting I provided pics. The pools were great just wish they had a little heat while we were there. We are members so we used the prestige area and Sergio and Mauricio took great care of us at the pool!! We greatly appreciated them they both made our stay! We only ate at the Mexican and Italian restaurants. Both were good. The buffet was also great. If you visit you must try the pizza over by the kids pool!! We both had a great time!

    Amazing Service

    We had a great stay at Iberostar Riviera. The only real complaint is that the rooms were not handicap accessible which created a huge challenge for at least one member of our group. To make matters worse, the room where she was staying had a toilet leak. The first repair attempt failed resulting in two days of wet floors ultimately requiring them to move rooms. Initially, the resorts response to the issues was slow but once “Fredy” got involved, the rest of the trip, especially for our disabled family member, was seamless and close to perfect. After handling the “room issue” he went out of his way throughout the week to help us with dinner, the shows and anything else that may have come up. Keep in mind, we were a group of 18 with a variety of different requests for Fredy. No matter the request, Fredy made it happen with the most pleasant and friendly demeanor one could have. I suspect Fredy will run a resort someday. At the pool, Sergio stepped up to make our pool/beach time perfect. Of course, he was always quick with a drink and the normal poolside service you’d expect, but also, Sergio went above and beyond. As a party of 18, with the extra challenges mentioned above, Sergio made sure we had proper pool seating, including a cabana and beach location each day. He even stopped on his way into work to pick up a special need (distilled water) that was not available on the resort. Like Fredy, I would expect Sergio to be moving up quickly. Alex also did a great job filling in on Sergio’s off day. The restaurant manager, Arturo, and his staff were amazing in accommodating our large group and overall service. Compared to other all-inclusive resorts, the food was above average. Some in our group complained that there were no hot tubs, other than the private ones tied to individual rooms. The beach is manmade, but they did a great job with what they had to work with. We spent a full day on the beach and had an amazing time. Overall, I’ve stayed at nicer all-inclusive resorts but I don’t think I’ve ever had such good service. I would stay there again.

    1st time did not disappoint

    The members pool is awesome and Sergio is awesome he is always there to make sure your drinks are full and making sure that you don’t need anything. If you go ask for Sergio he will make your trip memorable thank you Sergio for making our trip when we will never forget.

    A work in progress

    I am on 3rd day here and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience so far Positives Many large pools. 4 of 5 Excellent service from staff. Warm, friendly and considerate. 4 of 5 Great selection and quality of food. 4 of 5 Well maintained grounds. 4 of 5 Fairly high quality shows (resort level) 4 of 5 Family friendly. 4 of 5 Grounds expansive without being difficult to get around. 4 of 5 Check in fairly fast. 4 of 5 Spa great. 5 of 5 Ease of access from airport. 4 of 5 Drinks: many top shelf as standard but mixes of lower quality in general. 3+ of 5 A la carte higher quality. 4 of 5 Rooms older but large with jacuzzi tub. 4 of 5 Attentive room service. 4 of 5 Concerns Beach abysmal. 1 of 5 Iberostar app inaccurate to point of useless and or annoying. You have to verify everything with staff. 1 of 5 Very little signage to indicate times, dress codes, entertainment, what is open etc. 1 of 5 Intense and annoying time share. 1 of 5 Numerous trip hazards, uneven stairs and odd pathways. 1 of 5 Menus in too tiny script. 1 of 55 Excessive sargassum with accompanying odor. 1 of 5 Note. Resort at approximately 30% occupancy when I attended. This resort, in my opinion, will not be able to cope well above 50% occupancy unless changes are made I enjoy large pools and don't care for beach and beach options. There will never be beach options
