A great base when visiting Rome in a good location
I’m almost 8 months late posting this review, thought I had but looking over previous reviews realised I had not. It deserves a shout out so doing it now!! We visited for our 1st wedding anniversary and brought along our son who was 11 yrs old. We stayed for 4 nights in total. We had done some research before booking and this popped up a few times so after checking it out online decided to book, when we arrived we were not disappointed. The hotel was clean and we were greeted by some very warm and friendly staff. Our room was spacious and again very clean. We had a good amount of towels and the room was refreshed daily. There was a double bed for us and single bed for our young one. Our bed was comfortable and our son said his was too. We did not use the bar or spa as we were out majority of the time making the most of our time in Rome and all it had to offer. The breakfast was nice and had a good selection. Plenty of sliced meats, cheese, fruits, yoghurt, cereals, pastries and cakes. All were of a good quality. Coffee and good variety of juices were available. They had bacon and scrambled eggs available but these were poor quality and cold. Not really necessary and I would take it away or work harder on its quality. The staff in reception were very helpful and gave some excellent tips. Nothing was too much trouble for them and all advice was spot on. If visiting Rome this is a 10 minute walk to the main areas and 15 min taxi ride in opposite directions to the Vatican and colosseum. Would for sure stay again

Classic Old Italy Flair with great service!
Service is #1 in my book and the concierge and staff at Hotel Romanico Palace & Spa go above and beyond! Not only that, the hotel is in a perfect location to explore the heart of Rome! The rooms are very spacious and throw you into the culture and history of Italy. It's great to have a bar on site as well as a delicious plentiful breakfast plus the views from there and the rooftop are magical. I will recommend this hotel to all of my travel clients, friends and family! Thanks for a beautiful stay!

Pleasant stay whilst visiting rome
I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights with my wife at the beginning of April and had a pleasant stay. The hotel is situated about 20-25 mins walk from the centre of Rome where the main attractions are e.g: trevi fountain, Pantheon and all the restaurants and shoppong areas. The collosium and the Vatican are bit further and will require a taxi or using the metro. You are also very close to villa borghese, a beautiful park which is only a,10 min walk away. Your nearest metro station is barberni, which is an approx 10 min walk. The rooms were quite large, with the bathroom being the largest i have had in a hotel for some time. There is plenty of closet space, air conditioning, and a free safe, which is unusual these days. I stayed on the first floor, so at night there was some noise, due to the hotel being situated by a busy junction. Also, the plumbing seems to be quite old, so it did make a bit of noise when people opened taps or flushed the toilet. But generally, it wasn't too bad. The breakfast was ok, nothing special. Don't expect much hot food, just crispy bacon and scrambled eggs. It's mostly pastries, yoghurt, and cereals. The staff are very friendly and speak excellent English. Housekeeping was done everyday aswell. Overall, a solid hotel to base yourself from when exploring room, I would recommend.

Good hotel with good location
Really friendly staff with good English. Room was comfortable although the bed was on the firm side but after a day's walking, it really didn't affect our sleep. Breakfast on the terrace was good. Front desk can arrange taxis very quickly to drive to locations rather than walk but you are not far from the Spanish steps, Pantheon and Trevi fountain. Vatican and Colosseum are a little further so we took a cab. It was nice to walk back to the hotel and explore other parts of the city on the way especially small little restaurants. Be advised however that the walk is up hill on the way back and quite steep. The location is good as it's close enough to the city but far enough out to be quiet. Overall a really good hotel. Added bonus, fridge/mini bar in room and a safe.

Roman Holiday
All staff members were nice and helpful from the front desk to food service and housekeeping. The room and hotel are decorated in an ornate style that fits in with the old world vibe of Rome. My only complaint is the ‘captive’ WIFI which is beyond awful. It would drop out when you were using it and you had to long into the WIFI each time you used it, even if you only put your device down for a couple of minutes.
