Seamless check in, advised buffet only open for another 30 minutes so dive in if hungry, didn’t bother though as very tired. Had a problem getting WI-FI so went back to reception, we were in block 28 walked the wrong way and ended up in the sister hotel, very confusing as we were told to use the map but couldn’t because of not having Wi-Fi. Reception sorted the Wi-Fi so no further navigation issues 🤣. Like most all inclusive the buffet is fabulous for 2 days then boring, if you don’t like it don’t do all inclusive. I wasn’t ill at all which is unusual for me, I always get a bad tummy. Never really queued at any of the bars so again another plus point. Room was clean and spacious but shampoo and coffee creamer wasn’t topped up, tipping the maid got the creamer but no shampoo all week. Beach was pleasant loads of beds but the sea not very clear. Pool area was huge and again loads of comfortable beds, no mad rush to throw towels down to reserve a bed at the crack of dawn, massive plus point. The main problem with the pool is the entertainment team, far too loud with the silly games and dance classes when we were there to relax. I’m no killjoy and I understand some people go for that sort of thing but it’s just too loud and the compare shouting in 5 different languages is very taxing. We ended up by the kids pool as that wasn’t as annoying. I don’t go for entertainment so perhaps this isn’t a fair review if you do want that, again in the evening the entertainment wasn’t the best, very shouty and too fast to understand. I’ve been to a few Iberostar hotels that have the same language issues but seem to be much better. We had a good holiday, not sure I’d go back but if the price was right I’d consider it is the best way to sum up. Spectacular sunsets by the way.

Lots to improve, from front desk to service in the restaurants. We stayed here as we know Bahia Principe used to be one of the Top hotels in the Caribbean, how wrong we were. We stayed on one of the bungalows facing the gardens on the ground floor. The firs day when we came back from the pool the door of the terrace was wide open, fortunately we were not robbed, but the hotel didn’t even acknowledge. We called reception and after 40 min waiting for a call back we needed to go to reception to speak with the reception manager. We were given a different room on the 1st floor and 2 extra dinners, 1 dinner on the only adults and another in our resort. When the cleaner was cleaning the room, she opened the room to ventilate and she broke the hatch on the wall and left the door open, on a ground floor room. That’s not all, if you are looking to be in the beach, do not choose this hotel, the beach is dirty, brown and full of jellyfish, in the 10 days we stayed we couldn’t use the beach, is not what they show you on the pictures online, no paradisiac beach. The reason is they have a river that flows into the beach, and is not movement so is no beach. The food was mediocre in our part of the hotel and only 1 of the hostess gave us a smile, everyone else not even a simple smile. With everyone that we spoke in the hotel, they had any type of complaint. Is only 1 pool for the resort and they sell daily tickets for locals (not against that BTW) but is families by the bar and is very hard to get any drink if you are in the pool as they are family and friends of the staff and is like nobody else exists on that pool. Only good thing is all Junior suites and is a big room, but is not worthy for everything else. I will keep away from this resort.

Spacious clean rooms (facilities not topped up unless tips left though), amazing gardens, fabulous pool area with ample sunbeds at all times. However, the pool area is spoilt by the absolute racket blasting out of speakers & not just music but the entertainment team bawling constantly..we actually preferred to hear the kids around their pool as it was further away! Not a relaxing environment. Food was OK, don't bother with the 'a la carter restaurants, not good. Yep, sea not clear here. Overall, ok but could be better.

Overall pretty good but small things need improving.
overall the hotel is good but a number of small things need to be improved. Rooms are on the tired side, none of the hot food was ever hot and the wine barely drinkable. The staff are very helpful and want to do their best for you. Good location. Beach was spotless but if you are looking for blue clear seas then this is not for you.

A Memorable Vacation with Minor Hiccups
Our stay at the hotel was ultimately a delightful experience, characterized by warm hospitality and enjoyable moments, despite a few small challenges. While the front desk staff were less than helpful, our tour agency quickly stepped in to resolve any issues, ensuring a smooth vacation. Accommodation The rooms, though slightly dated, were clean and functional. We didn't spend much time in the room, which made any minor aging less noticeable. Pro tip: If you encounter any problems, it's best to contact your tour agency or the guest service supervisor directly. Beach: The beach provides a pleasant and safe environment for swimming. While the water isn’t perfectly clear and has a slightly cloudy appearance, it is clean and free of any harmful marine life. Despite the lack of crystal-clear waters, the beach remains a great spot for relaxation and recreation. A special thanks to the staff for their dedication to cleaning the beach sand daily. Dining and Service The culinary experience was a h satisfying, with food available even at midnight. The restaurant, bar staff (lobby, pool and beach bar) were exceptionally friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Special mentions go to the outstanding team members. Conclusion Despite small disappointments with the front desk, we had a great vacation. The hotel's warm staff, good food, and overall atmosphere more than compensated for the minor setbacks.
