Great girls trip
There were 12 of us on a girls trip We just got back on Sunday and had a great stay We stayed on the adult only side and upgraded to swim out rooms We were a little worried reading the reviews before we left,I couldn’t understand so many different experiences. But we had a great time. Two people in our group did have a day on the toilet.(but we were in Mexico last year and 8 of us had a day on the toilet,it’s part of traveling) The kaleidoscope buffet on the adult side had lots of food options but was repetitive. They definitely need more staff in the morning at busy times. I was only offered something to drink twice out of 7 breakfasts and had to clean my own table one day to have a place to sit(not enough to bother me on vacation, but want the resort to know) Our room did have a bit of a musty smell but after a day we didn’t even notice.Maids did a great job everyday. I used the app to order anything I need for the room, and they were delivered in a timely manner. The beach was lovely ,bar was close and the flipflop snack bar had good burgers and nachos. We did have to go early to get chairs but there was 12 of us. I have to agree with the check in being long.We checked in late so the adult only check in was closed(the resort knows when a bus is coming in and how many, they should have more than 1 guy working. Some waited and hour and a half to get their rooms, they should realize that’s not a great first impression) For anyone in the adult only side make sure you recheck in at the sunscape desk once it’s open,we did not do this.So we never saw our butler once(wasn’t a huge deal we figured everything out)we were told when we left it was because we didn’t check in there. The app was very helpful in booking reservations for dinner. The Japanese restaurant was fun all 12 of us could sit together while they put in a show cooking The Dominican restaurant was just ok. We enjoyed the tiki taco restaurant. The snack truck had good burgers. We did the beach party which was $30 extra but because we were 12 we got it for $25 each,it was fun to eat on the beach. We got free room service I did order a pizza on the app one night it was good. The app said it would be there in an hour and they knocked on the door exactly an hour after I ordered. When using the app to book reservations they tell you to go on a 7 am and book for the next day,we went on at 12:01 and were able to book. We spent 2 days around the pool(on the adult only side) which was fun but not many chairs so made it hard to get 12 so we just shared since half would just stay in the pool. I would definitely stay here again but only on the upgraded adult only side.We were close to the beach and pool so not a lot of walking. Water was readily available but it was plastic bottles, would think maybe some water refill stations to save on plastic.First place I’ve been that didn’t have it. Enjoy your trip, don’t sweat the small stuff and have a great time.

Sun and Fun for Everyone!
Staff was so hardworking -- hotel was at capacity apparently for the first time in a couple of years. Yurke and Rosaria at the bar were amazing, and Nicki Manaj and Bombom were awesome with the poolside activities on Adults Only side. Too fun!

Mediocre
Just returned from this resort . Let’s start with the pros : 1. Juan, Elvin and Lois on the beach provided top notch service with the beach beds and drinks . 2. The beds were comfy and rooms tidy daily. 3. Short walk down the beach to wild beach for pretty pics 4. Entertainment staff 10/10 Cons: 1. our room was overbooked so we were “upgraded” but had to pay for it 2. The mini bar in room only has beer (2) soda and water. We asked but were told no wine in room unless we purchased a bottle and it’s only restocked 1x / day 3. The only white wine available besides champagne was Sauvignon blanc (we think) but were never shown the bottle 4. No conditioner, lotion, or hair dryer in room upon arrival. We asked for some to be sent and they said they don’t have conditioner. 5. Bars were frequently out of cranberry, fruit , and wine by the afternoon so drink options were limited 6. Bartenders rolled their eyes when asking them to prepare more than 1 drink 7. The bartender in the swim up counted her tips in front of waiting guests and then walked away leaving one bartender to serve everyone waiting 8. Dinner reservations were a challenge. We woke up super early every morning to book one for the next day . 9. Pool chairs are limited or not available if u don’t reserve them early. The sign says 45 mins and we will remove your items if not used but no staff ever came through to do so . All towels were gone by the afternoon 10. Food was just ok and drinks while eating were also a challenge due to low staff 11. Smokers everywhere 12. Toilets flooded by the pool one day and no water available 13. The swim up pool was full of teens and kids so we didn’t use and the adults pool was cold and no seats available In summary, we didn’t think this was a 4 star resort as advertised and def not all inclusive like others we’ve been to . Management came through while we were there but didn’t stop to ask guests anything

Expect queues and upgrade to the Sun Club
Beware the Sun Club is different to Sun Club Adults Only!!!! We had to pay $300 extra to be moved to the Adults Only side despite already paying for the Sun Club to get away from children! We booked through Love Holidays and were only given the option for “Sun Club Junior Suite”- nowhere mentioned this was the Family side- and we met quite a few other people which this had happened to as well. The Adults Only side is definitely worth it- top shelf alcohol and relatively fast service. Yuika at the main bar was amazing! They could make any drink you wanted (provided they had the ingredients- all the bars were often running out of certain alcohols and mixers). I recommend the banana mamas and the frozen margheritas! There was little to no bed service- we were offered drinks to be brought to us 3 times over the whole week. Lots of people reserving sunbeds so very hard to get one past 9am, and lots of broken chairs when you do finally find one! Nicki minaj and bonbon were great entertainers, but the entertainment only came on our final 2 days. You book dinner through the Hyatt Inclusive app, and we nearly managed to go everywhere. Beware you will probably be waiting 30+ minutes for your reservation- even the main buffet had queues to enter. The Tierra restaurant was the only restaurant we didn’t have to wait for and the food was 10/10! They bring various meats to your table and cut it in front of you. Our maid Miguelinas did an incredible job every day, always putting in extra effort to make the room nice and ensure our fridge was always filled. Overall I think Sunscape would be a great hotel if it wasn’t so understaffed or if it was managed better.

Good
The best of thing was the entertainment group it’s excellent group !!!! Of 10 it’s 100 but about restaurant attendance it’s bad it’s to slow and need more people in high season!! The food in the buffets it’s very good but the food in some topic restaurants it’s so so and the customers service toooo slow and some food it’s so so
