Shoe Gate
Save your time and your money.. and if you do come, make sure you bring some nice shoes to done in at any restaurant. I can’t believe that a woman can walk in with flip flops but a man gets turned away. And turned away in NICE flip flops. The service in the restaurants stink bc they are too focused on the footwear. Mind boggling! My son did go back in his disgusting tennis shoes that are falling apart so I hope that was somehow more appealing to eye for them.

Bad Experience/Hospital Visit
While playing with my 5-year-old nephew on the children's sand soccer field, I hit a hidden object (pictured) buried in the middle of the field. The injury was severe enough to require a hospital visit, 12 stitches in my knee, and the ER/hospital bill all out of pocket. Thankfully, it was me and not my nephew who was injured, but the incident completely derailed the next five days of my vacation requiring me to driven around in a wheel chair and unable to enjoy the pool or beach. What was most disappointing, however, was the hotel’s response. When I brought the matter to their attention and asked for a meaningful gesture to help make things right, perhaps a partial refund or reasonable compensation, they offered a sign on the door, a bottle of alcohol, and a possible room upgrade, along with a few other minor items, if I come back. None of this felt appropriate given what happened, especially considering it occurred in an area meant for children. That said, I do want to acknowledge the positive experience we had with several staff members. The entertainment team was commendable, especially The Cowboy (I apologize, your name escaped me) and Eduardo, both of whom were gracious and energetic hosts who made our group feel genuinely welcomed. They are not the only people that were great on the entertainment team, however, I am sorry to not remember their names. I also want to sincerely thank Alexander, our room host, who was incredibly helpful, attentive, and kind throughout our stay. While the injury and the hotel’s handling of it were major disappointments, the members of the staff did their best to create a positive environment.

Book elsewhere
Not good. Food was a huge disappointment, some not edible. Service was slow and person dependent. Didn’t get the honeymoon suite that we booked. If we book a certain room class, it is expected and that did not happen. Honestly the check in took so long and even the butler never came up, we just left and went to our room because we were in the check in process more than 70 minutes. Long check in for diamond club, they even made 2 mistakes and we had to fix 2 days later. Butler was non existent, met briefly at check in, Jocelyn and Amam. Never met the night butler. Diamond Club is worthless and not a good use of money. Entertainment is just bad. There were glitches in bingo and kept happening. The shows were all just lower skill level than what I am used to. I have been to 15 all inclusive resorts experiences. The beach was not able to be used, they didn’t really try to keep up with the seaweed. In fact, I was in building 1 and they push all of the seaweed down to the end of the resort in front of my building. Many items they were out of. They are closing for remodeling in August, it seems like they already gave up and not giving the service levels that we paid for. Bars ran out of ice daily. I would not go back and I feel truly bad for anyone going from now until remodeling close in August, I recommend canceling and booking elsewhere. Everything is run down and not taken care of. I did enjoy the amount of pools available, Royalton does do pools right. The pools could be cleaner. More than half of the pools do not have music playing. The swim up bars were inconsistent in service and drinks, also in the rules. The bartender would get annoyed at people if they asked for a shot. I tipped every drink, I don't understand. I wish I would of went elsewhere. I paid a lot of money for Diamond Club service and did not receive it. Marriott Platinum member and that was not even recognized in check in, which I booked through Bonvoy. I don't understand how Marriott is the owner of this resort, I am used to a much higher level of service and cleanliness from Marriott.

Incredible days!
We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The food was amazing, and above all, the entertainment staff was excellent during the day with various activities. Thanks to Dominick and Eduardo for making their invitation to the evening party so much fun.
