Mar 06, 2026My Birthday Vacation
Cancun is my favorite place to go, the ocean was clean and perfect weather. Dream has top entertainment which I loved. I was celebrating my birthday and Gustavo messed it up on the beach because this man is in charge of the chairs and you have to beg for it. I was on preferred section which I paid for it, even for towels..so be aware of it. The SPA is perfect.

We were 16 people between 5 and 70 years old. I cannot thank enough the staff at dreams sands Cancun. sands. From food, service, entertainment event, room service everyone and everything made it perfect. The beach was wonderful, so close to the hotel. Everyone in our party had a great time

The only reasons it isn’t 5 stars for me is we felt asking for an upgrade before even seeing the difference in rooms was weird. The “upgraded” room had an amazing view (no idea what the original one had) but the rooms up there were aged and it showed. The cleaning staff was great and it felt clean all of the time. The turn down service was nice touch to feel special at the end of the day with the preferred status. Nothing fancy in the rooms but the rest of the resort was visually nice. LOVED Mexico night there. The vibrant colors and the way it brought the whole resort together was fun. All the food was delicious with lots of variety. I wished more things were labeled with ingredients in the buffet (breads/ pastry was a guessing game) Beach space is a bit limited and people saved spots for many hours for a seat. The staff do try to keep things moving by cleaning up to open new spots. I recommend buying or bringing beach floats or gear as they aren’t available that we found.
