Feb 13, 2026Disappointed - Declining Standards at Dreams Jade
We visited in December 2025 with our family and have been regular guests at Dreams Hotels over the years, but we're done with this brand. The food variety at the buffet was limited and underwhelming. The biggest frustration was the teppanyaki grill reservation system - we had to line up at 4 PM for a spot, and the queue was extremely long. The pools were a major disappointment since they aren't heated. Only the Preferred Club pool is heated, but we couldn't access it due to our kids being under 12. These issues, combined with declining standards, have made us decide to look elsewhere for future vacations.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. It’s a nice resort for families and has a nice convenient layout. The service was better than the food itself. Lourdes in the Carnival International Buffet provides excellent service and was friendly to everyone every day that we ate breakfast there. The only steak that we could get was at the Spice hibachi. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get a table at Mercure, the French restaurant, without a very long wait and didn’t get to eat there during our stay. There were a couple maintenance/potential safety issues that I will explain directly to the resort.

Great Hibachi experience
I would rate my experience 5 out of 5. Luise was very entertaining and made the experience unique. The food was tasty and probably the best hibachi I’ve had.
