A very good resort, well worth the money. Would recommend to anyone looking for a holiday/vacation in the Yucatan area. Not very far from the airport. Beach was sandy with hardly any issues with the seaweed that typically menaces the beaches outside Cancun. Staff were great, room was faultless, food and drink was good (although I wish Guinness was available in Mexico as an alternative to having just lager!). Overall well worth the money.

Excellent hotel. Preferred upgrade was very good - lovely pool. Exceptional walk round bar service and concierge - best we've ever had in the caribbean. Preferred lounge was really nice- great choice of drinks and range of snacks. Really good restaurants - particularly Mercure and Spice. Lovely ocean view room

Pros to this resort Good food Great entertainment Wonderful staff. So helpful and friendly. Always something to do The silent dance party and bingo were my favs. The beach is nice. It is long and has some great sand but in the centre it is rocky. Drinks were lovely. I recommend the mango tango ! Rooms were clean and comfy. Cons Extremely strong scents in the public washrooms. Nauseating Scented toilet paper. Not so lady bits friendly. I would totally come back here ! It was beautiful.

Giovanna, Idalia, Lety and Sheila were amazing with my daughters. I’m so thankful to them for entertaining my girls so my husband and I could have some alone time. They were kind, friendly and fun! And spoke English very well. We will definitely be back next summer.

Feb 13, 2025Disappointing Dreams Experience
I have travelled to several Dreams resorts in the past (Dominican, Mexico and Jamaica), none of them were as disappointing as this was. The main reason is that they put a limit of 2 drinks per person for an all inclusive resort?!! I'm not a drinker myself but its the principle of the idea that really irked me the wrong way, and many of those who I was travelling with (35 of us to be exact). It appears that resort was overbooked, lineups for breakfast as early as 8:15, waiting for over an hour to get a table for lunch by the pool (Castaways), unable to get a table for 4 for dinner at the Mercure (French restaurant) unless you wanted to eat at 8:30PM even when you showed up at 5:30-5:45pm to book it (right when they open). Needed to line up at 2:30pm to make a reservation for Hibachi grill each day, but they only start taking the reservations at 3pm and only for that day. There was a guest who tried to reserve for 4 people the day before and a person ahead of her booked for 45 people for the entire evening and thus she waited 30 mins in the middle of her day to make a reservation to be told, sorry we don't have anything today. Don't understand why this is still a thing, given the hotel has an app and everything else is done online or 1st come 1st serve basis for the a la carte restaurants. When it comes to entertainment, that is lacking and everything shuts down at 10:30pm. For those who wanted to enjoy themselves past that time they were forced to go to the disco because all bars were closed, however, that is not necessarily what people want, especially if they just want to chat and enjoy a drink. On the positive side, the hotel was well maintained, grounds and rooms were clean, very lush. The hotel staff excluding bartenders were very friendly, polite and overall professional. I enjoyed the yoga class in the morning, nice touch doing it overlooking the ocean. Also, the lost and found service, very organized and well kept, was pleasantly surprised that they found and delivered perfectly clean purse that my daughter left by the pool. If you have travelled to other Dreams/Secret resorts, please be aware this is not the same experience. Not sure if this is a recent change but putting limits on something people paid to have all inclusive experience is just outrageous!
