Currently staying and they have no AC in rooms. No one to fix it. Been waiting 24 hours and won’t offer another room. Has been a head ache here since we checked in. Have a private beach but room to sit. Restaurant hours are weird and food is not the best. You ask for a manager and everyone seems to be a supervisor.

Sunscape resort & casino Curacao
We were on a cruise & booked a day pass to this resort. Upon arrival, the staff was not friendly and acted bothered that we were there. They also wanted to keep our driver’s licenses and said they’d be returned at the end of the day. We got such a sketchy vibe that we didn’t feel comfortable doing this and after a back & forth debate, they finally agreed to allowing us to email a picture of them to the resort. Also in the description on our tickets it stated that we would have access to the on site restaurants for dinner since our pass was from 10am-8pm but they told us we needed a room number to make a reservation or get a table. There wasn’t a beach chair to be had so thankfully we found a table with an umbrella poolside. The buildings around the resort looked runned down but we were only there for the day so didn’t see inside. The pools and beach/scenery is beautiful! The pool bar ran out of beer and the beachside grill refused us a table because we were wet. We did dry off and ate lunch at the buffet and dinner at the beachside grill. The food was mediocre at best and if you’re a picky eater, be prepared to be very hungry. We called Shore Excursioneer (who we booked through)while still onsite to let them know that the description of what we paid for was nothing like what was actually there & they told us to take it up with the hotel. We honestly did not feel safe to approach anyone since they were very unfriendly, rude, not helpful & it just felt very sketchy so we just left and chalked it up to experience. I totally would not recommend the Sunscape.

They took a long time to release the room and said they were cleaning it. When I entered, I came face to face with a cockroach on the rope and a lizard on the wall. The refrigerator had a broken door latch too. Even though they told me I needed to stay in a low place because of my knees, they put me on a high floor and the elevator was also broken, a total lack of maintenance at the hotel. The food was not even worth mentioning, cold food and there was no replenishment of anything, because if they ran out of meat there would be no more for the other guests who were in the middle of the line behind. The pool bar opened at 11:00 and the pool closed at 18:00 and after 23:00 there was nothing left in the hotel, everything was closed. They seriously need to improve the maintenance of the hotel and the replenishment of the food.

Avoid This Hotel for Your Vacation
Our experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. Here are the key issues we faced: Luggage Handling: Upon arrival, we were told our suitcases would be taken to our room. After waiting for 2 hours, I had to retrieve them myself. Room Amenities: Our room lacked body wash and shampoo. Despite requesting these items, the containers were never filled during our 7-day stay. Dining Experience: The food quality was mediocre. We had a reservation at the Japanese restaurant, but upon arrival, we waited 30 minutes with no organization. The staff member calling guests had poor English skills, leading to confusion and frustration. We were not on the reservation list, and the staff member rudely informed us that we had not followed the correct process. Gym Facilities: The gym was in disrepair. Equipment was broken, weights were incomplete, and the area was dirty with visible spider webs. Beach Towel Service: The staff member responsible for beach towels was inattentive and rude, often distracted by her phone. Access Restrictions: We were informed that we could access all areas of the hotel. However, we were later told we could not be in a quieter section without paying an additional $22 per night. Throughout our stay, we heard numerous guest complaints. When we visited Dreams to address membership issues, the staff were unsurprised by our feedback, indicating a known problem with the hotel's service. Despite its beautiful location, the hotel suffers from poor management and direction. Immediate improvements are needed to prevent further damage to the brand.
