Great time otherwise
The staff themselves were very friendly, the facility needs a major upgrade with the rooms, the food on the all inclusive was delicious. Although variety was definitely lacking, the beaches were beautiful. The snorkeling was great. I stayed in building seven. I wish that they would put lights in the pool like they have on the main side.

Sunscape Curacao New Year's Trip
Sunscape Curacao has a beautiful, long beach with awesome snorkeling right off of the beach. The property is clean and beautifully landscaped. Staff was friendly, helpful, and fun. Restaurants were good and accommodated even the most challenging eater ( our uncle) . They went out of ther way repeatedly to prepare food that he could eat. I would recommend requesting Building 2 as it is updated and rooms are the most spacious with large balconies. We were in Building 8, same price, with rooms in dire need of updates. Another bonus, there are pickleball courts right across the street. We played 3 mornings! Hoping for many more improvements to the rooms in the near future!

Beautiful beach and great service
My expectations were not high based upon reviews. However, the beach was amazing, the service excellent, the food very good and the premises clean with many staff members constantly cleaning. Hopefully Hyatt completes additional physical property upgrades.

Staff missed the mark
My recent stay at this resort was underwhelming due to poor service and a lack of attention to basic operations. Staff were generally unfriendly, and there was little effort to make guests feel welcome. At restaurants, hosts were often absent, leaving guests waiting without direction. Reservations were not honored—we waited over an hour past our scheduled time at one restaurant. The overall service lacked the warmth and attentiveness typically expected at an all-inclusive resort. Small gestures, such as offering drink suggestions at the bar or ensuring timely seating, were noticeably absent. Inefficient staff allocation further exacerbated the experience, with long lines forming while less critical tasks were prioritized. The resort has potential but needs significant improvements in service quality, staff training, and operational efficiency to provide a more enjoyable guest experience.

Not Hyatt Standard
I have fairly manageable expectations when visiting a no name Caribbean resort, but since this is part of the Hyatt chain, I had higher expectations. We paid extra for an ocean view, which you got if you looked around the neighboring balconies. The patio door didn’t shut all the way. The shower was warm, never hot. Turned the thermostat to 60, the room was never cool and the fan didn’t turn on. Mini fridge didn’t get restocked. The hot tub was luke warm. There aren’t many buffet choices and the food was average at best. The neighboring resort blasted music until 3 am every night. We booked this resort for its partnership with the dive shop (Ocean Encounters) and neither communicated with each other causing issues. The hotel also shot off fireworks for NYE- right into the ocean- we spent new years morning diving off the hotel dock cleaning up remnants of fireworks 😡 The highlight of my stay was the kind lady working in the coffee shop and Sharalin who worked at the car rental desk.
